Our objective for the Worship Arts Ministry of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is to be led by the Holy Spirit, bringing glory to God in worship, growing in our relationship with Him, and experiencing His reviving presence, as we supernaturally impact our community, nation and world. We are looking for a person that aligns with the Biblical qualifications set forth in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1, as well as, a person that identifies with the mission of caring for the flock (John 21) while waiting for Jesus' return.
Primary Responsibility Areas and Qualifications Necessary to Fulfill Them
1. Lead the Congregation in Christ-centered, God-honoring worship
Leading the congregation with quiet confidence and humility into the presence of God and pastoring the congregation through true spiritual worship rather than merely leading music or presenting a program (John 4:23-24)
A vibrant and growing personal relationhip with Jesus Christ
A heart of humility coupled with a passion to honor Christ
Demonstrated ability to lead congregations in their worship of God
2. Lead in the creation and execution of Sunday worship services
Crafting fluid and thematic worship services--grounded in and informed by the preaching text-that draw on the best of worship practices and resourses
Lead congreagtional worship with demonstrated vocal ability
Understanding of music dynamics and composition and the ability to improvise
Bachelor's degree in music preferred or equivalent experience necessary; theological education beneficial
Demonstrated ability to plan blended worship services drawing on a wide breadth of worship elements and musical styles
3. Lead and Pastor the Worship Arts Ministry teams
Shepherding teams (worship band, vocalists, tech team, drama team, etc) to be faithful stewards of their gifts in worship, to share in community and to grow deeper in their own relatinship with the Lord
Christ-like interpersonal skills and relational maturity
Team spirit and collaborative leadership style
Organizational and planning skills
Demonstrated ability to shepherd a diverse group of artful people in effective ministry
Willingness to think creatively for outreach opportunities in our local community
In addition to leading our church family in its worship, the position will include overseeing our children's music and arts programs, providing worship support for smaller groups, and for special services (retreats, leadership training events, weddings, memorial services, etc.). The Worship Arts Pastor will work closely with many excellent volunteers and paid staff in all facets of the worship arts mininstry.
This full time position offers competitive salary and benefits and will report directly to the Senior Pastor.
