We are looking for a resourceful coordinator who wants to grow into a communications career, and who is eager to learn about the technology and creative processes powering the entertainment industry. We are a remote-first company headquartered in Santa Monica, CA, and with employees throughout Southern California, Phoenix, and Austin. We'll consider qualified applicants regardless of location.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, in public relations, communications, copywriting, marketing, social media, or -related educational coursework
• You have excellent writing skills and can communicate effectively
• You are well organized and can handle multiple projects at once, often with quick deadlines
• You are social media savvy and can manage pages across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
• You are a resourceful self-starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
• You follow culturally relevant news and trends, and are willing to learn about new topics
• You are proficient with Google Drive, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Slack, and Zoom
Job Description:
• Assist a team of five busy publicists to help service our amazing roster of clients who are defining the future of entertainment
• Create and maintain coverage and social media tracking reports in a timely manner
• Research and maintain tailored media lists for each client
• Keep up to date on industry trends, flag relevant articles, and track new publications and journalist moves
• Assist with managing internal and client social media channels, including drafting posts and publishing content (graphic design skills are a plus, but not required)
• Help prepare agendas, take notes, and manage follow up tasks for weekly calls
• Assist with pitch and media alert distribution (familiarity with Cision is a plus, but not required)
• Assist with writing content, including blog posts, bios, press releases, case studies, pitches
• Maintain our contact database and manage holiday mailers and client gift/swag orders
