In the American hip hop scene; many artists are very critical of labels as record labels have the artist sign over many rights and freedoms surrounding their creative content. With artists learning more and more about how shady the record label it is; I got to thinking. Most new artists know that record labels can be shady, but they see that as the only way to get good promotion on your music.
What if they used social media marketing instead?
There are programs to get their music onto streaming platforms, and after that a digital marketing agency can drive traffic to the music. So the artists will get more coverage for a much lower cost, compared to a record label. Not only the monetary cost, but they will be able to retain creative control, and many other aspects that are controlled by record labels.
So this job is looking for digital marketers who are interested in working with a new and growing opportunity, and working with clients on a mid-long term basis.
