JOB STATUS: Regular Part-Time
LOCATION: 299 Queen St W, Toronto
SALARY: Group D - Commensurate with qualifications and experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Configuration, operation, and adjustment of cameras and camera devices, lenses, camera control units, lighting and lighting control devices *An emphasis on Steadicam and Jib operation and routine maintenance of those tools *Routine operational maintenance of cameras and lighting devices and other related facilities necessary for program production *Collaborating with Directors and Director/Producers to create unique visual storytelling options *Camera operation and assembly of camera devices for mobile production when required *Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
*3-5 years experience as a camera operator with experience in Steadicam, Jib, Hand Held, Robotic, Drone and Pedestal operations *3-5 years experience in live media production *A thorough knowledge of studio broadcast cameras & related video technologies *A basic understanding of video signal flow and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems *Comfortable working in different environments, indoors and outdoors *Ability to work well in a crew environment and have strong interpersonal skills *Post Secondary education in Television Broadcast or previous experience in technical operations with an emphasis on camera and lighting is an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
