Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham LLP is an elite boutique transactional entertainment law firm with offices in New York City and Beverly Hills, serving clients in the motion picture, television and Broadway theatre industries. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Human Resources with experience providing thorough, skillful and creative solutions to an organization's leadership team. As the first point of contact for all HR matters, this position is highly visible and helps set the cultural tone for the firm.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 7-10 years of Human Resources experience required. Expertise with federal, state and local employment laws for NY and CA. An expert in core Human Resources functions, including benefits administration, health insurance enrollment, compliance, leave management, compensation and employee relations. Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel.
NOTE: This is an on-site role based in our New York City office. We are a 100% fully vaccinated firm and require proof of vaccination, including the booster shot when eligible, as a condition of employment, unless there is a qualifying medical or sincerely held religious belief for exemption and reasonable accommodation consideration.
The ideal candidate is:
• A leader with 7-10 years of Human Resources experience; legal or entertainment industry experience preferred but not required.
• A strategic collaborator who meets regularly with the Management Committee and HR subcommittee and helps to spearhead Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
• A leader in resolving employee relation issues, administering performance improvement plans, and providing counsel to employees.
• A facilitator who owns the full cycle recruiting process for Associates, Paralegals, Assistants, interns and other staff positions as needed.
• Experienced with onboarding/offboarding of employees, including conducting exit interviews.
• An administrator who oversees the annual performance review process for all employees.
• Able to provide COVID-19 related guidance including return to office recommendations based on research.
• Able to facilitate training seminars for NY and CA employees.
• A clear, efficient, and direct communicator (verbal and written).
• Able to collaborate effectively with management and employees and maintain confidentiality with respect to sensitive matters.
• Able to update employee handbook and office policies/protocols regularly.

EDUCATION:
College/University 4-year Degree (Preferred degree in HR Management or a related human resource field).
