The Role
We are looking for a creative, keen-eyed, and passionate specialist to design high-quality graphics for the global recruitment team and US Internship Program. Our team loves a challenge and is looking for someone who feels the same and is ready to bring their own ideas to make the team the best it can be.
This specialist will find excitement in elevating our team’s content with a creative flair. We are constantly looking for ways to enhance all that we produce from presentations to trainings to flyers to career fair booths to ensure our team ethos is conveyed visually. We are always on the lookout for top talent who are creative dreamers and consumer obsessed so we need to keep our branding and messaging aligned. This person will be excited to work within our already defined style guides, but find freedom in ideating, creating and executing brand new ideas and concepts.
Responsibilities
• Key design talent for the intern program and wider global recruitment team
• Regularly update templated social media graphics in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Occasionally, you will be tasked with creating a new social media template from scratch.
• Create promotional branding assets from scratch, which may include: LinkedIn banners, Email Signatures, promotional graphics, gifs, etc.
• Update Intern Program manuals and content each semester. This includes designing and producing an ''intern yearbook'', ''semester survival guides'', ''networking checklists'', career fair flyers, Internship announcement graphics, and more
• Go-to person for all creative needs for recruiters attending career fairs and external events
• Apply conceptual, design-based thinking to the creative management of Discovery's Career Site, LinkedIn Life pages, BuiltIn Profiles, and beyond.
• Generate compelling copy for various uses across LinkedIn, team-wide emails, Google Slides, Career Site, and beyond.
• Create and maintain up-to-date versions of designed guides, resources, and files that the Talent Acquisition team utilizes in their recruitment efforts
• Market and brand the Internship Program as a top employer and hot destination for internships and early careers in media, entertainment, and technology
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications. Social Good and LifeWorks & Inclusion on key corporate initiatives
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of design-heavy internships or professional experience
• Must be fully versed in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Basic experience in video editing software is a plus; Premiere, Adobe Rush, AfterEffects, etc.
• Strong copywriting proficiencies
• Experience with Canva is a plus
• Experience with creating social content in a professional setting is a plus
• Interest in employer branding preferred
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
