Role Description
The position of Production Manager, Media Operations will provide technical guidance and production support for end-to-end media services processes and workflows.The role is responsible for Audio/Video production in support of project management and client's needs. This position will work in close collaboration with local and global Media Operations teams to help ensure projects are consistently completed with zero defects, on time, and within budget.
Specific Responsibilities
In correlation with an administrative team, day to day management of a 50 team of media operations employees
Assist with the creation and implementation of automated workflows with current and future tool sets for efficient processing of customer orders (i.e., automate customer deliveries, transcoding, audio muxing, production deliveries, notifications, etc.). This includes oversight of onboarding new clients and platforms, and the testing process of deliverables and delivery pipes
Establish standardized media service workflows for audio, video, subtitling, metadata, QC, and delivery of AV packages to Disney and various OTT portals as needed.
Support and follow security practices across our media services workflows to ensure consistent and resilient application of our standards & practices.
Advise and recommend new technology, services, and practices for continuous improvement.
Support and collaborate with local and global and Localization teams as necessary to strengthen and provide a seamless end-to-end service offering.
Assist with the deployment and implementation of the lyuno-SDI media asset management system.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of client AV and delivery specifications for various OTT platforms including Disney .
Assist with the development and tracking of delivery KPl's to include on time and right the first time metrics.
Help streamline workflows by implementing the right set of tools and processes.
Help management with project implementation plans including assessing communication needs, workflow requirements, and timelines.
Troubleshoot technical issues by ensuring accurate deliverables and correct output specifications.
Provide technical support and guidance on the use of lyuno's media services systems and tools.
Assist with the documentation and communication of Media Operations processes, procedures, and workflows.
Capabilities & Skills
Experience in managing a team of operations in a post production environment
Knowledge of transcoding software: Rhozet Carbon Coder, Telestream Vantage, Digital Rapids StreamZ, Amberfin ICR, Manzanita Systems' Transport Stream and Program Stream Muxers, Clipster, Elemental, Apple Compressor, NexGuard encryption
Experience in the regular use of secure file delivery platforms: Aspera AOC, Aspera Faspex, etc.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe products such as Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, Encore, and Acrobat, plus QuickTime Pro. Strong familiarity using Adobe After Effects.
Knowledge of content creation: video editingi audio editing, photo compositing, graphic and website design. Detailed understanding of Disney systems and processing methodologies a plus.
People & Culture
Excellent presentation and written communication abilities. An engineer with a knack for writing that can naturally translate technical jargon and intangible concepts into words and images easily interpreted by anyone, to help them grasp complex issues
