Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and resourceful producer who is skilled both in live and post production to join Prime Video ahead of our 2022 launch of Thursday Night Football. The Producer would work on the Prime Video production team focusing primarily on Thursday Night Football shoulder programming. This role would be expected to fill many roles: produce features, segments, talent, and have a role inside the control room. This is a position that would be expected to help shape the identity of Prime Video's live sports offering. This role will also collaborate with members of many internal teams including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Technology Products, Public Relations, and Business Affairs as well as external partners.
We are looking for a candidate with great flexibility, an ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a startup environment. A successful candidate is comfortable diving deep across multiple areas, possessing exceptional stakeholder and project management skills, and committed to fostering a positive working environment all while being comfortable working autonomously, often times with minimal resources. As a small team, we all wear many hats. As such, we expect this candidate to greatly contribute to roles outside of their production duties like improving processes, evaluating vendors, and administrative support.
Key job responsibilities
• A self-starter who can establish protocols and work with many internal and external stakeholders in creating a production workflow and workflows that support dependent teams
• Generates, researches, pitches, writes features; directs feature shoots and oversees editing
• Researches, pitches, and produces segments inside Thursday Night Football shoulder programming
• Develop both short and long form original content
• Being comfortable in receiving and giving editorial feedback
• Ability to shoot/edit and knowledge of innovations in technology is a plus
• A strong understanding of both the post-production world as well as the live TV environment, as this role will be expected to make contributions to the live show
• Deep understanding of all Amazon sports content and how storytelling will be deployed across all relevant platforms
• Maintain strong relationships with On-Air Talent, cultivating a positive working environment with the ability to manage complicated situations
About the team
We are small team that is growing rapidly as we enter pre-production for the launch of Thursday Night Football in September. Our team oversees all production of shoulder programming and game broadcasts.
Qualifications
• 7 years of experience as a creative executive
• Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
• Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
