SportsLine is a subscription product from CBS Sports that offers premium picks in a wide array of sports, next-level Fantasy and DFS tools/advice, compelling coverage of the growing sports betting industry and much more. We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead customer acquisition and retention of SportsLine subscribers. You will primarily help conduct and report on marketing campaigns for acquisition. Secondarily, you will help manage customer outreach and retention efforts.
In this role, you will work closely with the marketing team to perform different online campaigns to acquire and retain subscribers to increase long term value (LTV) and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Evolve and integrate SportsLine's membership strategy along with its editorial, marketing and social team. Focus will be in return on investment with improving metrics (LTV, conversion rate, churn)
• Perform lead generation through SEM, display, affiliate, email, social media, retargeting, and funnel and conversion management. Lead action generation campaigns, driving actions or events that lead to conversions
• Coordinate with our Business Intelligence team to identify and present quantitative and qualitative insights to determine future efforts such as target audiences
• Monitor and optimize the sales funnel to improve customer experience and conversions
• Ensure that SportsLine's customer retention and support efforts are best in the industry for our members
• Collaborate with CBS Interactive teams for effective distribution tactics
• Build an in-depth understanding of the topic and our brand's position to inform strategy that drives LTV and other established KPIs
• Establish positive, short-term and long-term strategies and forecasts with the Business Intelligence team
• Develop tools, data, and insights to increase SportsLine's retention and increase customer value
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
• 3 years of digital advertising and marketing experience, preferably with experience in subscription growth and retention
• Proficiency using analytics tools like Omniture and Google Analytics
Additional Qualifications:
• Sports betting and Daily Fantasy experience a plus
• Knowledge of common marketing metrics, their calculation and their impact on successful marketing activities
• Excels in a dynamic, data-driven, metrics oriented environment
• Attention to detail to minimize errors
• Self-motivated and determined to work with regular check-ins and supervision from department leaders or teammates to communicate back progress and updates
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment!
