About role
We are looking for a strong, independent contributor who is well versed with technical delivery in the entire lifecycle of UX. This includes - User Research, User Requirements Elicitation, Information and Workflow Architecture, UX Prototyping (at various stages), Heuristic Evaluations, Usability Testing and UX Metrics. SLB has flat product team structures – the UX Designer holds a critical position not just in delivery of UX activities but also as an evangelist of UX and needs to educate the development and business teams in its advantages. This role engages with clients, business and development teams regularly. Command on professional delivery and good communication skills are required for this role. Role is located within a product development team of 8-10 in Pune.
Responsibilities
Hands-on, senior practitioner in UX with 5-9 years of experience
Plan, conduct and interpret user and stakeholder requirements research
Analyse user task and information models and define user workflows
Create wireframe and clickthrough prototypes
Plan, conduct and report Usability Testing
Track, report and iterate design for usability bugs on the product
Adapt design delivery to synchronize with development and business, at the same time balance ownership of user requirements and usability concerns of the product
Collaborate with product managers, visual designers and frontend development toles
Explain and justify design decisions on the basis of established principles and standards
Contribute to technical discussions and undertake reviews of different projects as an expert
Communicate ideas, plans, and results effectively to different stake holders
Participate in technical forums and other appropriate events and conferences
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
Experienced practitioner in different methods and end-to-end stages of UX lifecycle viz-a-viz: User and Stakeholder Requirements, Design and Prototyping and Usability Testing / Evaluation with some good case studies to his/ her credit.
Demonstrate proficiency in UX deliverables like: User Journey Maps, Personas and Goals, Task Models and Information Models, User Flows, Wireframe Prototypes, Usability Testing
Experience running UI/UX or human factors user studies measuring both qualitative and quantitative data
Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, and with minimal supervision
Should have experience of working with agile development teams
An excellent portfolio / case studies showcasing relevant UX work
Multi-tasker who works efficiently under pressure, maintaining focus on the details
Preferred
Graduation / Postgraduation / PhD in UX / Interaction Design / HCI / Human Factors is most preferred.
Educational background in Graphic Design / Communication Design / Product Design / Industrial Design with relevant work experience in UX is preferred.
Attending relevant training in UX / HCI is an advantage
International work experience in User Research or Usability Testing projects is an advantage
Experience of working in a mature UX team / with industry recognized experts is an advantage
