This position is hybrid. both in Encinitas (San Diego) and remote.
You will:
Operate as a creative business partner, right-hand person, and radically candid sound-board to our CEO, Chris Dumas
Promptly nudge along company project objectives with both urgency and kindness
Work daily alongside our on-site team in our San Diego offices
Explore ways to facilitate an online environment of open, warm, and safe communication amongst our mostly remote team of co-workers, vendors, and stakeholders.
Research and present new trends within the digital publishing space to the Executive team, rooted more in personal interest than directed asks
Be confident about proposing interesting business ideas, creative thoughts, and self-initiated research findings at individual team, company-wide, and executive team levels, and fully embracing ''extreme ownership'' in project management
Prioritize and neatly organize incoming tasks from many mediums of communications: text, voicemail, Volley/Voxer apps, Slack, and email
Dabble in personal life management for our CEO, where tasks could include interviewing house cleaners, organizing paddleboard outings, and local San Diego drop-offs, pick-ups, and package deliveries
Be prepared for irregular hours and weekend availability for time sensitive support
Have a knack for inserting an awesome meme or flashy GIF anywhere! #neverboring ;)
You are excited to:
Represent Brainjolt and our company's core values both internally and externally, as well as building deep relationships with potential and existing clients alongside our CEO.
Explore and amplify anything Brainjolt - whether diving into learning our team's project management tools including Asana, or hyping up the video team's latest TikTok in Slack.
Show off your writing and copy editing skills, whether in company wide presentations, external emails, or internal briefs
Demonstrate a knack for equally concise and warm messaging, whether on the phone, over email, or on Slack - our main channel of communication amongst the organization.
Share your unique creativity through graphic design, photography, and video editing, whether using Canvas, Adobe, or Final Cut
Talk about anything with anybody, and be able to find something interesting in every conversation. That's a major, major skill!
Challenge yourself and challenge our CEO to be better every day, whether it's business, or personal related
Creatively find ways to bring the team together over the internet and IRL
Observe ways to grow our business model, melding your birds-eye view from the C-Level to your genuine interpersonal skills with every employee within our company
