LA SENIOR PRODUCER, CBS Mornings 
The Senior Producer, based in Los Angeles, will work closely with the news leadership team to manage the West Coast team of CBS Mornings producers, associate producers and broadcast associates.
The Senior Producer must be a seasoned journalist and creative thinker with previous experience in live television news. They should also have experience crafting feature pieces and live segments. Management experience is required. This person should have an interest in breaking news as well as lifestyle and entertainment content. This senior producer works closely with the show's Executive Story Editor to respond to news-of-day requests and the West Coast Bureau Chief to manage correspondent assignments and staffing of shoots.
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Manage day-to-day production and editorial for multiple producing teams. 
Assign stories to staff, manage workflow, review and edit content including pitches, pre-production, scripts, question documents, and screenings. 
Coordinate with bookers for competitive future bookings with a focus on entertainment.
Work closely with broadcast producers and management regarding upcoming stories, ongoing projects, and weekly lineups. 
Collaborate with social and digital teams as well as marketing, public revelations and other CBS entities for network-wide coverage and specials
Mentor and train junior staff
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Strong editorial judgment. 
8  years of journalism experience at a broadcast network, cable, or digital news company. 
Strong background in writing, copy editing, field production and video production. 
Proven track record of team management with a positive culture. 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Some experience shooting and editing
REQUIRED EDUCATION: 
Bachelor's degree
