ROLE DETAILS:
CBSN is seeking a Producer to pitch, develop and produce engaging segments, shows and pilots for our streaming network. We're looking for a proven journalist who can handle multiple projects at once, with a track record of producing compelling, provocative and intelligent stories.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Â Research, pitch, and oversee a variety of projects -- using both archival and original material -- in various stages of production
- Â Outline and script segments, shows and pilots from inception through air
- Â Collaborate with many stakeholders and supervisors across the CBS News network during all phases of pitching, production, and post
- Â Complete media management and organizational tasks associated with production
- Â Coordinate and schedule productions, including setting up studio shoots, field production, ordering graphics and overseeing post-production
- Â Coordinate deliverables after segments/shows/pilots are complete, including but not limited to: story summaries, clips for social media and promotion across company platforms, and repurposing materials for other formats across CBS News
- Â Produce projects from start to finish
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Â 5 years of experience in video journalism
- Â Proven understanding of journalism standards of attention to editorial detail
- Â Ability to work independently and remain deadline-oriented
- Â Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while balancing multiple projects
- Â Highly organized, with excellent time management and communication skills
- Â Creative problem solver
- Â Strong writer
- Â A passion for bringing news stories and cultural topics to life

- Â Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid a plus
- Â Familiarity with Rights & Clearances and Fair Use standard methodologies a plus
