Position Summary
The position is responsible for coordinating and executing technical crew and event needs at Reynolds Performance Hall.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Review, plan and execute event riders/rental contracts for backstage facility needs, crew requirements, and job assignments
Basic Audio Console Operation and Sound set up including: audio console operator, microphone setup and placement, cable management. and set up and run stage monitors
Basic use of Hand Tools, i.e. C-wrench and screw drivers
Work
ALL
load in calls, to include: unloading trucks, stage setup, hospitality prep, dressing room prep, wardrobe/ laundry facility prep, show call, backstage manager, strike and load out, artist runner
Basic light board operation and assist with Hang/Focus of in house lighting equipment
Assist with lobby setup for all events, to include table setup, power supply setup, etc.
Assist with stage management, setup crew, and all other affiliates of guest artists group
Maintains organization of backstage areas at all times bringing awareness to safety and fire hazards
Building manager when Tech. Dir. And Asst. Tech. Dir. is not available
Attends staff meetings, event meetings, planning meetings, etc.
Maintain wireless headsets, including battery installation and keeping inventory of all components associated with the Clearcom wireless units
All other job duties as assigned by Technical Director and/or Executive Director of Public Appearances
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of technical and operational aspects of a professional theatre
Technical skills including audio, lighting, stage management
Ability to train, mentor and organize a student work force
Ability to facilitate events from a technical perspective that have multiple, complex needs

Required Education and/or Experience
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 2 years experience coordinating staff, working professional performances and other special events in a performing arts center/professional theatre. Bachelors degree in theatre/technical theatre preferred.
