Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York & London is seeking a Client Accounting Coordinator to join our Client Accounting division in our Los Angeles office. In this role, candidates will experience how the accounts receivable side of a talent agency works, with a concentration on deals made for our film and television acting clients.
This is a mid-level role with opportunity of advancement and growth within the client accounting department. We are looking for candidates who are interested in pursuing a long-term role in entertainment finance or talent accounting.
Experience with accounting for an entertainment company (studio, agency, union, production company, payroll, etc.) and/or experience in the theatre industry is strongly preferred, but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
• Setting-up accounting pages for bookings recently submitted by the agents' offices
• Processing client payments in a proprietary system
• Checking payment entries at the end of each day to ensure every payment entered was keyed in our system properly
• Interacting with production companies, studios, and payroll companies with regards to client payments
• Consulting with agents, agents' assistants, clients, and their representatives should there be any payment issues
• Keeping unprocessed client payments organized and resolving any problematic payments
• Raising and sending invoices for client payments as needed
• Assisting with AR/payment reconciliations and collections
• Closely monitoring a series regular grid to ensure payments are on track for our most highly paid clients
• Assisting with overall operations and research for ad-hoc projects for both the department and agency
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Business Administration (a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Management preferred but not required)
• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook and 10-key
• Comfortable screening **** in the application.
