King University is accepting applications from qualified musicians for a position as part-time/adjunct faculty in the Music department in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold at least a master’s degree in music theory or a directly related field and showcase a strong record of professional practice. The candidate will demonstrate expertise in theory and composition and have strong performance skills, experience teaching tuba preferred.

Responsibilities:

The B.A. in Music degree prepares students to enter graduate studies in music or the work place. The degree emphasizes a strong foundation in concepts of music theory and history that allows the graduate to make informed choices. Understanding both the technical and the conceptual processes of music is necessary for every graduate in music. The Music program features three viable specializations Music, Music Education-Vocal, and Music Education-Instrumental. The primary duties of this position will be to teach a range of music theory courses and perhaps assist in piano instruction on the Bristol campus.
